The Crawford Central Community Foundation’s “Pay It Forward” Awards are given annually to a graduating senior at Cochranton Jr.- Sr. and Meadville Area High Schools with a $500 award to each recipient. The Award recognizes students who have made outstanding contributions in the form of service to their community (school,neighborhood and hometown) and who exemplify the mission of the CCCF. The students are nominated by their High School Guidance Counselors.
This year’s recipients are Kaylee Pearl- Cochranton and Natalie Smith- MASH.
Natalie Smith was the secretary of the MASH National Honor Society, secretary of MASH Student Government and competed on the Track and Field Team. Natalie also participated in numerous community endeavors including volunteering at West Mead 1 Fire Company, she is certified as a paramedic, plays the bagpipes, is a member of the Jack Curtin St. Patrick’s Committee and helped in fund-raising activities at her church. Natalie will attend PennWest Edinboro to pursue a nursing degree.

Kaylee Pearl is a member of the National Honor Society, served as the vice-president of the Spanish Club, volunteered at her church and summer vacation Bible School and was a member of the Cochranton Marching Band playing flute and participated in STEM Academy. Kaylee will attend Carlow University studying pre-speech language pathology.
